The weird truth

The weird truth

30 Aug 2012: Today morning I was travelling in a PMT bus and was little aware that I will be introduced to a stark aversion that exists in our society. There was no place at the front, hence, I went to the last row. A small boy(approx. 7-8 years) was sitting next to me with a big plastic knapsack. When I asked him what it was, he said those were toys to sell. I went on to ask details like where do you stay, do you goto school. Of course he didn't. In a while there was other boy who came beside me with his school bag. He called his mother over a cell (to point out he had a cell phone) to inform that he had got the bus. I was in the middle- one side was a deprived boy who was not fortunate enough to goto school, and other side, a boy of the same age with much more privileges. The reason to their contrasting lifestyles was only one- the family they were born in! Fate! Well, it's well said 'If you want to change a situation you need to make a move'. I gave him a helpline number and mine too and asked him to ring up. Poor, there was no mobile in his family! When I asked, how will you call, he said over a coin box! Though coin boxes are getting extinct, there may be, or should I say are people who still opt for them. Strange! Now, let's hope for the call!
